What are the relationships between Scottish agricultural policymaking, farming activities, and the food chain?

Background

Question Group: Working with nature to improve plant, animal and soil health, enhancing agricultural practices, and promoting resilient food systems. It also encompasses innovation in disease control, climate adaptation for crops and stock, strengthening food safety and sustainable farming to reduce environmental pollution and boost productivity.

Sub-questions: -how does current Scottish Government agriculture policy effect the food supply chain in Scotland?
-what opportunities are there for positive impacts from Scottish agricultural policy on the agricultural supply chain?
-what impact do agricultural reforms have on food consumption in Scotland?
-what evidence exists on a "just transition" of real world impacts of agriculture reform, what are the impacts on communities?
