What are the most cost-effective ways to help where children are at risk as victims or perpetrators of crime? Does this vary for different groups of children, such as children with care experience, and by place?
Background
What happens in the home is a key driver of school experiences and attainment, and influences choices and outcomes. Keeping children safe from emotional and physical harm, tackling child poverty and supporting families will relieve pressure across the system and enable them to learn and thrive. This also contributes to the Safe Streets mission. (For brevity, please read all references to children as encompassing both children and young people where appropriate).
