ARI 11 Maximising progress towards environmental and climate change targets, by assessing the efficacy of actions such as public and private funding, nature restoration, the land-use planning system, public engagement programmes, and biosecurity actions.
Background
Within the question group Nature and Ecological Resilience, we aim to increase our understanding of pathways to achieve targets and commitments to halt and reverse the loss of biodiversity on land, within soil and freshwater, and at sea, including understanding drivers, pressures, ecological resilience, and the effectiveness and implementation of environmental law. Pressures of interest to us include fisheries, development for energy production and other purposes, and pollution.

Why might this be relevant?
The project directly addresses the efficacy of actions such as public and private funding, nature restoration, and biosecurity actions in maximizing progress towards environmental and climate change targets.

Why might this be relevant?
The project also focuses on restoring resilient ecosystems and addresses the need for net environmental gains and ecosystem services, partially relevant to the question.
